Scarlett Johansson (born November 22 1984 New York City New York, U.S.) American artist and actress whose versatility earned her praise in various styles from period dramas to action and thriller. Johansson, the daughter of filmmaker and architect, was born in New York City. She was the twin sister of Hunter as well as her mother were the youngest siblings. The young actress began her interest in acting from a very young age and was auditioning for commercials before the age of seven. She was enrolled at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute shortly following and then attended the Professional Children's School, Manhattan to further her education. In the Off-Broadway play Sophistry she performed with Ethan Hawke at age 8, and in North, produced by Rob Reiner in 1994 she began her film debut. Johansson was later seen on screen in Just Cause, but she was able to make her mark when she appeared in Manny & Lo, a film about siblings left behind by their parents who flee. In the following film, she won critical praise for portraying the role of a teenager who sustained injuries that made her look a bit swollen In The Horse Whisperer (1998). Her popularity grew with the film Ghost World (2001) as an outcast with a sly attitude Rebecca. Renee Felice Smith began her career in the industry of entertainment in the early years of her life. She discovered her passion for performing as a child. Smith landed her very first acting gig at six years old with help from her parents. Smith was in a television commercial for Dannon yogurt. Similar to many young actresses she decided to explore her skills in the theater. She worked on a variety of projects within the USA when she was preparing her debut on stage. Her education was in the Stonestreet Studios Conservatory of the New York University Tisch School of the Arts.
